Error: Sales order not created for customer with NS ID - ____ = [Code=USER_ERROR] Please choose a child matrix item.

The reason why this or similar orders got rejected by NetSuite

It seems that in this sales order, you need to add the right variant (child item) of one of its products (parent item) because the parent item doesn't have any SKU associated with it.

Example:

"12345" Sales order not created for the customer with NS ID - "____" = [Code=USER_ERROR] Please choose a child matrix item.

In the above example, this "12345" sales order contains 1 product that has variants in your store, however, none of these variants (child item) is selected in this order.

How to fix this error:

Step 1:

  1. Open this order in your Shopify store, and take a look at all of its products. Let's say that this order has "Product 1, Product 2, Product 3"
  2. Open a product that has variants in it. Let's say it is "Product 1"
  3. Now, edit this order, and select one of the appropriate variants of this "Product 1". Let's say that your customer ordered size XL cloth, so, select that variant that offers XL size of this product
  4. Save the changes
Note: Please make sure that this variant (child item) is mapped with its corresponding NetSuite SKU. You can check that from the Products Linking page of our app.

Step 2:

  1. Open the Robust NetSuite Integrator, and go to the Order Log page
  2. In the Order ID field, enter the Order ID of this rejected order, and hit the Search button
  3. In the action tab, click on the Re-submit button
  4. Upon, successful re-submission, you will see the status of this order changed to Accepted by NetSuite
